TheArchitectit 3438fe8f2d feat(team): port subagent_model, parallel tool exec, team coordination layer
Port the team-enhancement feature layer from feat/multi-tool-exec onto
feat/team-test so the agent-teams stack is buildable and testable on top
of the current CLI/runtime.

Subagent model (config wiring):
- Add subagent_model field to RuntimeFeatureConfig + RuntimeConfig::subagent_model()
accessor + parse_optional_subagent_model() so the subagentModel setting
(already validated by config_validate.rs) is now actually read and stored.
- Agent tool's resolve_agent_model falls back to subagentModel from config
when no explicit model is passed.

Parallel tool execution:
- Re-export ToolCall/ToolResult/TurnProgressReporter from runtime so the
  CliToolExecutor::execute_batch override type-checks.
- Override execute_batch to classify read-only tools (read_file, glob/grep
search, WebFetch/WebSearch, LSP, Git*, ToolSearch, Skill, Agent*,
TeamStatus, Task*) as parallel-safe and run them concurrently via
std:🧵:scope; everything else stays sequential. Results return in
  original model order.

Team coordination layer (cherry-picked from feat/multi-tool-exec):
- AgentMessage, TaskClaim, TeamStatus tools + shared mailbox directory +
  mode presets (tiny/1x ... mega/6x) + enriched TeamCreate/Agent tool
  descriptions + background team watcher.
- /team slash command: on/off/status/toggle of CLAWD_AGENT_TEAMS (the flag
TeamCreate requires), replacing the info-only stub. Spec updated to
  [on|off|status].
- resolve_conflicts resolved: de-duplicated SlashCommand::Team/Setup arms
and ReadOutcome::TeamToggle arms that the cherry-picks overlapped with
  the existing /team parse fix.

Verification:
- cargo build --workspace OK
- cargo test -p tools --lib: 111 passed (1 env failure: repl_executes_python_code)
- cargo test -p runtime --lib team_cron: 17 passed
- cargo test -p commands --lib: 42 passed (incl /team parse regression)
- cargo test -p rusty-claude-cli --bin claw: 345 passed
- scripts/fmt.sh --check OK

TheArchitectit 28155a331f fix: resolve rebase conflicts, clean TUI alignment, and sync with upstream
- Split multi-line user input and system messages on newlines so each
visual line gets its own ConversationLine (same pattern push_output
already used). This fixes text misalignment when Enter is pressed.
- Don't enable Wrap on the conversation Paragraph — the FIFO viewport
counts Line items to fill the pane, so soft-wrapping would throw off
the row count and misalign content.
- Restore non-TUI files from upstream/main to clear conflict artifacts.
- Fix clippy warnings in lsp_client, lsp_process/parse, and trident.
- Add HandlerSwap and TeamToggle match arms in main.rs ReadOutcome.

TheArchitectit 763179877a feat: API timeout config, Retry-After header support, and configurable retry
- Add TimeoutConfig to HTTP client builder with connect_timeout (30s)
and request_timeout (5min) defaults, configurable via
  CLAW_API_CONNECT_TIMEOUT and CLAW_API_REQUEST_TIMEOUT env vars
- Add with_timeout() builder to both AnthropicClient and
  OpenAiCompatClient for per-client timeout configuration
- Parse Retry-After header on 429 responses and use it to override
  exponential backoff delay when present
- Add ApiTimeoutConfig to runtime config with apiTimeout settings
  in ~/.claw/settings.json (connectTimeout, requestTimeout, maxRetries)
- Add retry_after field to ApiError::Api for propagating rate limit
backoff hints through the retry pipeline

TheArchitectit 04bc5f5788 feat: API timeout config, Retry-After header, configurable retry, and 400 transient retry
Cherry-picked from PR #2816 onto current upstream/main, resolving
conflicts from PR #3015's merge (which added retry_after to ApiError
but some construction sites were missing it).

Commits preserved:
- ade85398: API timeout config, Retry-After header, configurable retry
  - TimeoutConfig in HTTP client builder (connect 30s, request 5min)
  - CLAW_API_CONNECT_TIMEOUT and CLAW_API_REQUEST_TIMEOUT env vars
  - Retry-After header parsing on 429 responses
  - ApiTimeoutConfig in runtime config (settings.json)
- 8a883430: retry 400 responses with transient gateway error bodies
  - Detects known gateway phrases in 400 response bodies
  - Marks them as retryable instead of hard-failing
- ed91a61e: add 'no parseable body' to CONTEXT_WINDOW_ERROR_MARKERS
  - Some providers return 400 with 'no parseable body' for oversized
requests instead of a proper context_length_exceeded error

Commits skipped (already in upstream via PR #3015):

bellman 2cac66cd38 Stabilize provider compatibility integration verification
Keep integrated G008 provider changes formatted and compile-ready so worker follow-up commits can merge against a clean leader baseline.

Constraint: G008 provider verification must pass before ultragoal checkpointing.
Confidence: high
Scope-risk: narrow
Directive: Keep provider compatibility follow-ups rebased on this formatted baseline before retrying failed cherry-picks.
Tested: cargo test --manifest-path rust/Cargo.toml -p api providers:: -- --nocapture; cargo test --manifest-path rust/Cargo.toml -p api --test openai_compat_integration -- --nocapture --test-threads=1
Not-tested: full workspace clippy; known pre-existing runtime policy_engine LaneContext clippy warning remains outside this change.

YeonGyu-Kim 75c08bc982 fix: REPL display, /compact panic, identity leak, DeepSeek reasoning, thinking blocks
Five interrelated fixes from parallel Hephaestus sessions:

1. fix(repl): display assistant text after spinner (#2981, #2982, #2937)
   - Added final_assistant_text() call after run_turn spinner completes
   - REPL now shows response text like run_prompt_json does

2. fix(compact): handle Thinking content blocks (#2985)
   - Added ContentBlock::Thinking variant throughout compact summarizer
   - Prevents panic when /compact encounters thinking blocks

3. fix(prompt): provider-aware model identity (#2822)
   - New ModelFamilyIdentity enum (Claude vs Generic)
   - Non-Anthropic models no longer say 'I am Claude'
   - model_family_identity_for() detects provider and sets identity

4. fix(openai): preserve DeepSeek reasoning_content (#2821)
   - Stream parser now captures reasoning_content from OpenAI-compat
   - Emits ThinkingDelta/SignatureDelta events for reasoning models
   - Thinking blocks included in conversation history for re-send

5. feat(runtime): Thinking block support across codebase
   - AssistantEvent::Thinking variant in conversation.rs
   - ContentBlock::Thinking in session serialization
   - Thinking-aware compact summarization
   - Tests for thinking block ordering and content

Closes #2981, #2982, #2937, #2985, #2822, #2821

Yeachan-Heo 87b982ece5 US-011: Performance optimization for API request serialization
Added criterion benchmarks and optimized flatten_tool_result_content:
- Added criterion dev-dependency and request_building benchmark suite
- Optimized flatten_tool_result_content to pre-allocate capacity and avoid
intermediate Vec construction (was collecting to Vec then joining)
- Made key functions public for benchmarking: translate_message,
  build_chat_completion_request, flatten_tool_result_content,
  is_reasoning_model, model_rejects_is_error_field

Benchmark results:
- flatten_tool_result_content/single_text: ~17ns
- translate_message/text_only: ~200ns
- build_chat_completion_request/10 messages: ~16.4µs
- is_reasoning_model detection: ~26-42ns

All 119 unit tests and 29 integration tests pass.

Yeachan-Heo ba220d210e Enable real Agent tool delegation in the Rust CLI
The Rust Agent tool only persisted queued metadata, so delegated work never actually ran. This change wires Agent into a detached background conversation path with isolated runtime, API client, session state, restricted tool subsets, and file-backed lifecycle/result updates.

Constraint: Keep the tool entrypoint in the tools crate and avoid copying the upstream TypeScript implementation
Rejected: Spawn an external claw process | less aligned with the requested in-process runtime/client design
Rejected: Leave execution in the CLI crate only | would keep tools::Agent as a metadata-only stub
Confidence: medium
Scope-risk: moderate
Reversibility: clean
Directive: Tool subset mappings are curated guardrails; revisit them before enabling recursive Agent access or richer agent definitions
Tested: cargo build --release --manifest-path rust/Cargo.toml
Tested: cargo test --manifest-path rust/Cargo.toml
Not-tested: Live end-to-end background sub-agent run against Anthropic API credentials

Yeachan-Heo c14196c730 Expose structured thinking without polluting normal assistant output
Extended thinking needed to travel end-to-end through the API,
runtime, and CLI so the client can request a thinking budget,
preserve streamed reasoning blocks, and present them in a
collapsed text-first form. The implementation keeps thinking
strictly opt-in, adds a session-local toggle, and reuses the
existing flag/slash-command/reporting surfaces instead of
introducing a new UI layer.

Constraint: Existing non-thinking text/tool flows had to remain backward compatible by default
Constraint: Terminal UX needed a lightweight collapsed representation rather than an interactive TUI widget
Rejected: Heuristic CLI-only parsing of reasoning text | brittle against structured stream payloads
Rejected: Expanded raw thinking output by default | too noisy for normal assistant responses
Confidence: medium
Scope-risk: moderate
Reversibility: clean
Directive: Keep thinking blocks structurally separate from answer text unless the upstream API contract changes
Tested: cargo fmt --all; cargo clippy --workspace --all-targets -- -D warnings; cargo test -q

Yeachan-Heo 5b046836b9 Enable local image prompts without breaking text-only CLI flows
The Rust CLI now recognizes explicit local image references in prompt text,
encodes supported image files as base64, and serializes mixed text/image
content blocks for the API. The request conversion path was kept narrow so
existing runtime/session structures remain stable while prompt mode and user
text conversion gain multimodal support.

Yeachan-Heo 9455280f24 Enable saved OAuth startup auth without breaking local version output
Startup auth was split between the CLI and API crates, which made saved OAuth refresh behavior eager and easy to drift. This change adds a startup-specific resolver in the API layer, keeps env-only auth semantics intact, preserves saved refresh tokens when refresh responses omit them, and lets the CLI reuse the shared resolver while keeping --version on a purely local path.

Constraint: Saved OAuth credentials live in ~/.claude/credentials.json and must remain compatible with existing runtime helpers
Constraint: --version must not require config loading or any API/auth client initialization

Yeachan-Heo a66c301fa3 Add reusable OAuth and auth-source foundations
Add runtime OAuth primitives for PKCE generation, authorization URL building, token exchange request shaping, and refresh request shaping. Wire the API client to a real auth-source abstraction so future OAuth tokens can flow into Anthropic requests without bespoke header code.

This keeps the slice bounded to foundations: no browser flow, callback listener, or token persistence. The API client still behaves compatibly for current API-key users while gaining explicit bearer-token and combined auth modeling.

Constraint: Must keep the slice minimal and real while preserving current API client behavior
Constraint: Repo verification requires fmt, tests, and clippy to pass cleanly
Rejected: Implement full OAuth browser/listener flow now | too broad for the current parity-unblocking slice
Rejected: Keep auth handling as ad hoc env reads only | blocks reuse by future OAuth integration paths
Confidence: high
